Hi! Today I’m going to have an unusual post. How to make junk journals? Here is not any practical advices. Here is just my way to junk journal maker.
Scrapbook but not junks yet
So you may have seen the junk journals I am currently selling in my store. But I want to tell you the story my journals have taken with more than two years of my journey in this direction.
And I didn’t start with journals at all. From the beginning, there were photo albums. In the country where I live, scrapbooks are very popular. I sold a little bit of this kind of work, too. Here you can see an example of one of them.
It was a magical moment. to sell an album that you really like, that inspires you. And to get a great review for it. Magic. I was immensely happy that the person liked my work.
I also sold some ordinary pocket notebooks. I will post a few of my favorites as an example.
I sold some of these notebooks. Not all of them were particularly popular.
First steps
After a while, I switched to the more familiar junk journals. I’ve reviewed several lessons on Youtube how to make junk journals and started.
And here are the first of them.
Together with you I loved the theme of Alice in Wonderland.
And here’s one of the first junk journal that didn’t immediately find its owner. But it did.
Likewise another first junk journals, who has also been without his master for a long time. But I really love botany.
Improvements
Further came the most interesting part. I tried my hand at different themes, repeating many notebooks several times. At the same time, I had grimoires, but not about them now.
Here are a few of my favorite notebooks from “that time”. How much warmth they evoke in me.
Moreover here was Christmas and fall junk journals, farm and bee junk journals, bunny junk journals, American patriotic junk journal, steampunk junk journals, moon junk journals.
Fresh ideas
Furthermore I redesigned and improved many of them. But soon I got the idea for another journal. I call it the complete or finished one. In it, each and every page is decorated. And it is very easy to keep such a notebook – a diary.
Now they are also represented in my store. I am very inspired by them. They allow me to release all my energy in this work.
I use fuzzy cuts, lace, pockets, envelopes, small papers, stamps, paper clips, pendants, etc. in my journals. This allows me to make each page a little different from the others here.
Improvement again
Indeed it turned out to be a long post. Particularly because of the set of photos. As a result I want to show you my journals, which fascinate me and I forget about everything in my life except creativity. Furthermore my latest journals are even more decorated with lace and fabrics. I loved to use different small papers, crumpled kraft, pendants too. I like to sit down in the evening and add lots of different beads and pendants to an already finished one like here. I hope the journals became more reach coupled with the previous ones. Treasure book journals in other words.
As a result this is what my last journals presently.
And although right now I think that’s the most I can offer in this kind of creativity, I think that in time I will be able to offer you something new.
