Hi! Today I’m going to show and tell you about my new junk journal.

It uses country motifs.

Most of all I now want to use a lot of fabrics and lace in my work. I definitely love paper, still. I am very inspired by the prints shown on it, but I also want to use and reveal this juxtaposition: paper with lace and fabrics. I find it very interesting.

The paper is bright blue, very deep color. It has a bit of a botanical motif. I decided to take a light powdery fabric with marbled shimmer, add a lace fabric on top, some fuzzy-cuts, a beautiful butterfly with rhinestones, a vintage clock, and of course tie it on a ribbon.

The country junk journal is the usual size of 8 by 4 inches. This is the only way I make new ones. Of course, scrapbooking paper and aged paper are at the core.
I used a lot of different papers, pages from a book, texts, envelopes, pockets. This is where my door cutouts came in handy.

There are a lot of doors in the country junk journal, despite the fact that there are none on the cover.

I added a lot of stamps. Mostly berries. I tied cotton cords onto the tags.

I glued a lot of lace and fabric to the pages, so the notebook is pretty puffy.
Some more pictures of my new work.

I also added macrame, which I wove myself.
I liked this style of work, I will make more blue journals like this in the future. There is one journal available so far. You can visit the store to find out more.
I hope you were interested to see the details of my new work.

Sincerely,

Aliona
